Find out how to identify the common trees of the New River. Join Park staff in learning how to identify common trees of New River State Park. The leaves will finally be "leafing out" along the 1 mile Fern Nature trail at the Wagoner Access of New River State Park. Meet at the Park office at 2 pm. Bring binoculars for spotting leaves and Spring tree dwellers. For more information call 226-982-2587. Program time may vary.

Tastings from North Carolina wineries, many artisans, and drawing prizes. Hors d'oeuvres, Cheese and Fruit, Lunch by River House. Rain or shine. Lots of tents. $50 plus tax. Live music all day!

Jazz Quartet with Martha Bassett presented by Music Carolina and sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council at the Ashe Civic Center on Saturday, July 20.
